Hannah Toy
I will always look back at my time at Stage Door School of Dancing with fond memories and with such gratitude to Maureen and Julie. I attended the school for over 10 years, and during that time I obtained nearly all of my Ballet, Tap and Modern examinations and to a high standard, equipping myself with a strong technique which has served me throughout my further training and professional career. I was also fortunate to gain valuable performing experience from a very early age by appearing in many professional pantomimes and shows in the local area with the school. Not only were these times a lot of fun, they also taught me the need to work in a professional manner, to be disciplined and the etiquette of working in a theatre. All of these skills have served me right through to my current employment and have provided me with the foundations needed for a safe, happy, and hopefully long career!
Since leaving Stagedoor School of Dancing, Hannah attended London Studio Centre for three years and gained a BA(HONS) in Dance and Theatre Performance. During her training she performed at The Hackney Empire, The New Wimbledon Theatre and was a soloist in 'The Jazz Company Tour', performing around the country including The Peacock Theatre in London. After graduating, she joined the UK Tour of 'Spirit of the Dance', performed in 'A Journey of Jazz' at the Lilian Baylis theatre for Dollie Henry and was dance captain and U/S Peter in 'Peter Pan' at the Haymarket in Basingstoke. Hannah then joined 'Wicked' in the West End, originally as Ensemble and is now Swing and Dance Captain.
Hannah is also a dancer for PaM's People, featuring in 'Dancing in the Dark' at Clapham Grand, New Generation video 'American Boy' and pre-run entertainment at the Moon Walk in Regent's Park, performing for 18,000 people ready to undertake the night time marathon in aid of Breast Cancer. She also works for Freedom Flying which included workshop ariels for 'Peter Pan' at the O2.
Hannah is featured on Kate Alexa's video 'Infatuation' and Killa Kela's MTV video. Hannah recently performed in the Apollo Victoria's 80th Birthday Gala, dancing for artists such as Lee Mead, Sharon D Clarke, Ollie Tompsett, Tiffany Graves and representing Wicked.
Hannah is also currently studying for her Pilates teaching qualification.
