Starburst Dancers

“Starburst ”gives the students a wonderful opportunity to gain performance experience and an insight into the life of a dancer. created in 1998 by Julie Headford “Starburst Dancers” is not a specific act, but a dance act tailor-made to meet individual requirements for the functions and shows that book them.

Choreographed and managed by Julie Headford the Act uses full-time students from the Stage Door College.

"Starburst" can vary from a three girl Act with separate spots to be integrated into a variety show, to a non-stop 30-minute Cabaret Floor show using six or more girls. The style of routines are varied both in content and costume and can include: - Modern Jazz, Showgirl, Rock and Roll, Samba, Charleston, Tap, Irish and the ever popular Can-Can. “Starburst Dancers” is also renowned for it’s Flamenco Dance. Again this can either be performed as a short spot aspect of a show or as a 30-minute Flamenco Floorshow, complete with authentic Spanish dresses.

Over the years “Starburst Dance” has worked all over the country in Exhibitions, Trade shows, Summer Seasons and Corporate Events. The Act has toured the South of England has gained a very good reputation not only for it’s high standard of dancers but also for it’s lavish and glamorous costumes.
